Cotton hill days 25/11/2019 -29/11/2019

This was our second week in Cotton hill. In this week I had six classes. Three teachers from our college came to observe the class. Joju sir and Gibi teacher observed my Physics class in 8th standard and Maya teacher observed my Chemistry class in 8th standard. They gave their comments and suggestions regarding my class. It made me much confident.There were some programmes in the school during this week. There was an orientation class for members of little kites which was handled by an eminent personality in the field of atmospheric science. Another programme was organized by city police about awareness on pocso act for higher secondary students. A programme conducted by eco club was also there on awareness on snakes which was handled by Vava Suresh. The session was so interesting and students were so anxious to see the snakes lively. Many students from the school participated in state school youth festival and bagged prizes.

This was our first week of internship programme. We joined Govt. Girls higher secondary school, Cottonhill on 18th of November. Our team consist of 8 members under the leadership of Ms. Athira Sajeev of mathematics optional. This school is largest Girls school in Asia. The school gives importance to both scholastic and co scholastic activities.
There are many programmes in the school. The very first day itself we got an opportunity to take part in an exhibition conducted by ISRO in the school. Teachers along with science club members were the coordinators of the exhibition. It was very informative. On 19th of November, there was a class for higher secondary students on fire and safety organized by fire and rescue service. There was a demonstration on fire fighting also. On 20th November, honorable education minister of Kerala, Prof. C Ravindranath inagurated the Green messenger programme in the school. It was a good experience to meet the minister and hear his speech.
Students from the school took part in District level youth festival held at Chalai and bagged lots of prizes. The school won overall championship in HS and HSS section. So there were practice sessions going on in the school for the state level competition. Students got selection for state youth festival for the events like gazal, kathakali sangeetam, group song, sanskrit skit, guitar, veena etc.
There was sports meet for LP students on 22nd November.It was very nice to see the little kids actively participating in various events.
Thus the whole week went well...
